Lisrath is a villainous character exclusive to the Ruby-Spears Dragon's Lair animated series, who serves as a henchman partner of Urisk in the episode "Song of the Wind Chimes." He leads a band of several Bogles (diminutive creatures similar to himself) to steal Tragenna's magical golden wind chimes and imprison the villagers.
After imprisoning most of the villagers in the buildings of the town, the greedy Lisrath spends his time counting stolen money. When he is cornered by Dirk the Daring, Bertram, and Rosemary, Lisrath cowardly surrenders and reveals the way to enter Mount Volmar, Urisk’s volcano lair.
Unlike Urisk’s other minions, the Lava Men, Fire Creatures and the Dust Devils, Lisrath and his Bogles do not appear to live inside Mount Volmar, but he visited it to communicate with Urisk.
Animation Inconsistencies[]
- In most frames, Lisrath appears with blood red eyes and white pupils, distinct from the other Bogles who have yellow eyes and dark pupils. In some frames, Lisrath is shown with white eyes and dark pupils. In the Ruby-Spears character model sheet, Lisrath appears to have yellow eyes with blood red tissue around them, which is how Lisrath appears when he steals in the Chimes in the episode's opening scene.
