The Pit Monster is a large carnivorous breed of monsters that appeared in ReadySoft's Space Ace II: Borf's Revenge home computer game. Named in the game's manual, the creature is first seen residing in a deep pit that serves as the game's final stage.

The ReadySoft home computer ports portray the two-eyed monsters as yellow-skinned with orange warts and viscously aggressive. Initially appearing confined to the depths of a jungle pit, Borf knocks Ace into the pit to become the monster's food, then attempts to lower Kimberly into the monster's mouth as Ace attempts to regain his footing. Using a nearby vine, Ace swings across the pit to rescue Kimberly, forcing Borf off balance and into the Pit Monster's waiting jaws, seemingly ending the villain's life. As Ace and Kimberly begin to share a romantic moment above the pit, another (possibly smaller) yellow monster attempts to snap at the heroes, but is repelled by a casual shot from Ace's blaster.
Trivia[]
- The creatures have some similarities to the two-eyed Carniculas and also the Slime Monster, and may be considered to be an original creation of ReadySoft creative team.
